Creative Journal Assignments for Lord of the Flies:


1. How would this class fare if dropped into the island as the boys were?

3. Write a letter that Piggy might have written to his auntie after his first week.

4. Write a description of a chaotic high school classroom as Golding might have, with students like Piggy, Ralph, Jack, Simon, and Roger.

Lord of the Flies Classroom Simulation

Instructions:  Imagine that our class has been dropped on a similar island under similar conditions.  The class will have 10 minutes at the end of the period for 2 weeks to develop a means of government and a survival plan.  I will give no advice but will expect to receive a detailed, written document that explains your governing rules and survival plan.
