AP* Biology

Course Description

In this workshop, participants will learn to set up, troubleshoot and perform AP* Biology labs.  Participants will also learn time saving and money saving strategies for doing the labs.  We will also talk about how to organize your course and your syllabus, time management strategies, ways to break up lectures and adapt the labs for different types of schedules (block and non-block).  Resources for preparing class activities and lectures, many of which are available free on the internet, will be presented.  We will review the grading of the 2006 AP* Biology exam, participate in a mini “mock reading” of sample AP* Biology essays, and share successful review strategies you can use with your students.
