American Government
Peter Pew has Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Loyola Marymount University. He has been teaching AP* U.S. Government & Politics for 18 years and AP* U.S. History for 11 years at Hart High School in Santa Clarita, California. He has many years of consulting experience in AP* U.S. Government & Politics, including:
- Serving on the Test Development Committee since 2004.
- Assisting in developing the AP* Course Audit requirements for the College Board.
- Presenting at College Board weekend workshops since 1996.
- Presenting at AP* Summer Institutes in Honolulu, Tucson, Bellevue, Long Beach, Los Angeles, and San Diego.
- Presenting at the AP* National Conference in 2003.
- Serving as a Reader, Table Leader, and Question Leader for the AP* Reading.
- Writing the Course Overview for the College Board’s AP* Central web site.
Peter enjoys presenting a practical workshop with lots of ideas and materials that you can actually use in your classrooms. What a concept!
His outside interests include tennis and running.
