Paula Carbone
English Language and Composition
Paula has taught English in diverse settings, from an international school in Tokyo, to a private college prep school in Los Angeles, and in urban public schools in Dallas and Los Angeles. In addition to receiving National Board Certification and being a Writing Project Fellow from UCLA, she has been attending the *AP English Language readings since 2001, as well as presenting one-day workshops for the College Board in English Language and summer institutes. Currently, Paula is a full time doctoral student at UCLA with research focusing on student writing. She continues to have an active role in teaching and working with teachers in the Los Angeles area and is committed to access and equity issues in *AP classes to allow for student intellectual advancement and engagement in economic, political, and social arenas.
